On a Scrum Board group members see items the group needs to complete, what each person in the group is working on, and items that are completed.
A Scrum Board has four columns – Group Members’ Names, To Do, Doing (in progress), Done.
The Board can have additional columns such as Needs Support, or Checked by Teacher/Assistant.
- Group members brainstorm a list of all the tasks currently the group needs to accomplish. Or their teacher might give them a list. If thoughts come to mind for additional items they will need to do, but not at present, the additional items can go in a Backlog list.
2. On sticky notes put each item that needs to be done in the To Do column, beside the name
of the person who has volunteered or been assigned to that item or items.
3. When a group member begins work on an item, the person moves the sticky note to Doing.
4. When a group member has completed an item, they move the sticky note to Done!
5. When a person has completed their item or items they then help someone whose item or items
are in Doing.
