People & Products at July, 2019 Portland Project-Based Learning Workshop

With reflection, protocols, peer collaboration, group presentations, videos, slides, booklet, online resources and participants’ dedication – teachers, instructional coach and teaching/learning dean, with all grade levels from Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and New Jersey developed detailed outlines of their students’ challenge-solving project.

Here are charts of some participants’ preliminary planning on their way to developing their detailed draft outlines. Their detailed outlines include draft challenge question, inquiry questions students possibly might ask and investigate, students’ product(s), focus success skill(s)/attitude(s), focus academic content/skills, outside expert, public audience, hook(s), structure, scaffolds, students’ voice and choice, and formative and summative assessments for focus skills/attitudes and academic content objectives.

Thank you Casco Bay High School for your graciousness in opening your facilities to our workshop – we were grateful for the comfortable room and lovely outdoor area!
